


Helain Day joins the Native American Connections Resource and Communication team as the agency-wide Volunteer Coordinator. Within this multi-faceted role, Helain is responsible for agency-wide individual and group volunteer recruitment, placement, and retention in conjunction with a dynamic Service Learning program which attracts local college students from institutions all over Maricopa County. In addition, Helain oversees the organization's in-kind donation system which supports the needs of our most vulnerable program participants at multiple properties and programs.
A graduate of the University of Arizona, Helain holds undergraduate degrees from both the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and the Center for Latin American Studies. With six years non-profit volunteerism, grass roots community organizing, and community based education experience within multi-cultural and bilingual communities throughout Southern Arizona, Helain draws on her education, experience, and passion to reinforce NAC's mission through integrating energetic service-oriented members of our community into thriving NAC programs!
