Southwest Certification
The Southwest Certification Board (SCB) is approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as an approved testing site. Southwest is also recognized by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners for continuing education hours for recertification.

The Southwest Certification Board was created to provide quality certification and training for Substance Abuse Counselors serving Native Americans. Certification attests to the professional qualifications and competence of the counselor. The standards for certification are those commonly recognized by 70 International Boards. These include various alcohol/drug groups and authorities in most States, Indian alcohol/drug programs, the Southwest Certification Board, as well as various foreign alcoholism commissions, branches of the military and the Indian Health Services.
