"The Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank will be holding our 7th Annual Valley Diaper Drive in May! The Diaper Bank will once again be partnering with Discounbt Tire, Sunflower Farmers Market, 98.7 FM The Peak, and KTAR-AM/FM radio. Diapers can be dropped off throughout the month of May at any Discount Tire or Sunflower Farmers Market location. This year we will also be holding our 2nd Annual "Diaper Dump", where we will try to fill up a dump truck witrh diapers! The Diaper Bank and our drive sponsors will be at the Sunflower Farmers Market, 245 E Bell Road on Saturday May 30th from 9am until noon for the event." The Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank generously shared over 3500 donated diapers with Native American Connections last year; diapers desperately needed by many of our Outpatient Clinic clients, our Guiding Star residential clients and our residents of NAC's many apartment complexes. Native American Connections will be supporting this drive as follows: 1) We will have collection boxes at Guiding Star women's residential facility (3424 E Van Buren, Phoenix, 85008) and in our Administration lobby (4520 N. Central Avenue, Suite 600, Phoenix, AZ 85012). 2) We are planning to support the Diaper Dump on May 30 with an outreach table and literature about Native American Connections. 3) We will send volunteers on June 15th for the diaper sorting and counting event. We will be ready on June 16th to pick up our share of the diapers collected in the May drive. The Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank holds 3 collection events every year: February, May and November. Please support Native American Connections and the Valley of the Sun Community Diaper Bank with your donation of diapers, or cash to purchase diapers during the month of May 2009!!!
