Dr. Cherie McCabe Murray is an enrolled member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes and is her tribes’ first medical doctor.  She was very active in all sports including basketball, softball, track and cross-country. She was president of the CRIT youth council and proudly represented her Tribe as Little Miss CRIT when she was 11 years old and Miss CRIT when she was 21 years old.

She attended college at Stanford University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and then attended University of Utah School of Medicine and graduated in 2007 and completed a 3 year residency in 2010 in Emergency Medicine at the New York Hospital in Queens New York.

Dr. Murray worked for the Indian Health Service in Rosebud South Dakota and spent 3 years as the Emergency Medical Director.  She was married to David Murray, and then moved back to Arizona to be closer to family.  Dr. Murray is a board certified Emergency Medicine doctor currently working at Banner Boswell Emergency Department in Sun City Arizona.
