Sean brings to Native American Connections, 15 years advanced knowledge of non-profit organizations. He has over 20 years of experience in corporate leadership management, finance, accounting, affordable housing development, marketing, corporate acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, marketing, analysis, GASB & FASB and corporate auditing. He has worked in collaboration with many federal, State and local government agencies.
Sean was drawn to NAC by our mission to improve the lives of Native American individuals and families through culturally appropriate behavioral health services, affordable housing and community and real estate development services. He has a passion for serving the public and has coupled his accounting skills with his drive to enrich the Native American Community.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Sean is responsible for all of NAC's fiscal matters and its limited partnerships and affiliate organizations, including managing the operating and development budget and implementing business and financial strategies across the organization. Sean oversees all compliances and recognition for government (federal and state), HHS, RHBA, HUD contracts and private grants.
In addition, Sean is responsible for cash, investment and asset management. He utilizes financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operation and business plans and risk assessment. He develops long-term financial plans and projections and represents the company to board of directors, financial partners, government agencies, institutions, investors, foundation executives, auditors and public officials. He manages the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements and provides strategic and technical planning for information technology to meet the organization's objectives.
Sean has a bachelor of science in accounting and MBA from The University of Utah and has lived in the valley for eight years. Native American Connections is honored and excited to have Sean as part of our team!
